Overview:

Better than a bouquet, share the gift of creativity! You will learn how to build a rustic mini planter box with pieces cut from cedar boards. Perfect for indoor or outdoor use. Fill your planters with soil and plant your choice of springtime bulb. Take your project home the same day and watch your flowers grow and bloom.

In this class, you will learn basic wood craft techniques including:

-Reading a construction drawing

-Building from an assembly kit

-Using a brad nailer

-Using hand sandpaper

Great for beginners! This class is open to all skill levels. Ages 10+. Students under 15 must have a parent/guardian present (no additional charge).

All students must wear long pants, closed-toe shoes and tie back long hair. No long necklaces or loose bracelets as these items may get wrapped up in tools. This is a dusty project so please wear clothes you are comfortable with getting dirty.

Anyone who does not adhere to the dress code cannot participate in the class and will not be refunded.

Personal Protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, dust masks, disposable gloves) will be provided.

Cedar contains natural oils and compounds that make it resistant to moisture and decay.

No additional finish is needed for this rustic planter so it can be taken home the same day.

Cedar planters have a long-life span, but they will eventually wear out with normal use.

Molten Maker Space, LLC is not responsible for replacing or repairing broken or worn planters.
