This 2-session class is open to teens and adults and starts September 10. Registration will close on that date.

Delve into the exquisite world of Joomchi, a traditional Korean paper craft that unfolds into textured, felted layers of handmade hanji papers. In this hands-on experience, you’ll master the art of using water, your hands, mallets, and decorative additives to craft resilient textures resembling felt and leather. These creations serve as robust canvases for stitches, inclusions, and appliqué. Witness the myriad possibilities as the instructor showcases how Joomchi seamlessly integrates into book arts, wearable art, surface design layering, framed art, and functional pieces.

Uncover the fascinating history behind Joomchi and join us for an artistic exploration where tradition meets innovation. All needed materials supplied.
