Certifed Autism Center badge

The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards (TAG) has worked with The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), a global leader in online training and certification programs, to be designated as a Certified Autism Center™ (CAC). Our staff has completed training and certification in best practices when assisting autistic individuals. By undergoing additional autism-specific training, the goal is for our team to be better equipped to provide better service and experiences to all.

TAG is one of several organizations and businesses in High Point that has received this certification. To fund this certification, TAG received a grant from Visit High Point. 

High Point has become the first Certified Autism Destination™ (CAD) on the East Coast and the second CAD in the United States. This initiative was spearheaded by Visit High Point, who worked to enroll a variety of hospitality partners and businesses. To read about this designation, click here.

What We Offer:

  • Specific classes and workshops for both children and adults.
  • A hands-on studio with a variety of manipulatives is available for those with sensory sensitivities.
  • Sensory-friendly tools, such as wobble stools, fidget spinners and poppers are available. 
  • Mobility services: 
    • Congdon Yards has designated accessible parking spaces.
    • Restrooms are wheelchair accessible.
