Sgraffito, derived from the Italian word for “scratch,” involves decorating semi-dry pottery by layering underglazes or slips and then scratching away sections to unveil stunning images, textures, and patterns. Dive into this exciting one-day workshop focused on creative expression and surface techniques. Participants will explore a range of sgraffito techniques and will learn various image transfer methods on a provided piece of pottery. Experiment with various carving tools to create intricate beautiful images! This workshop is designed for those with some ceramic experience who are interested in expanding their skills in surface design.
