Clay Blanchard is an Art Education student at UNCG specializing in printmaking, drawing, and ceramics. He traditionally works with woodcuts, linocuts, and copper etchings when printmaking. Most of his work is built off of a foundation in drawing and focuses on wildlife and modified realism.
Blanchard also enjoys throwing on the pottery wheel and handbuilding on his pieces afterwards, usually making face jugs and again on some wildlife pieces when he is handbuilding. Most of his recent art focuses around line work and drawings that can be turned into either lino cuts or screenprints.
