Marilynn G. Barr is a versatile practicing artist with a rich background in multiple mediums. She paints in oils, watercolors, gouache, and acrylics, and also works extensively in charcoal, pastels, graphite, colored pencil, and pen and ink. In addition to hand-building with clay, Marilynn is skilled in lino- and woodcut printmaking, and she especially enjoys drawing with fountain pens.
With over 30 years of experience as a graphic designer, she has also authored and illustrated early childhood educational books and written children’s literature. Marilynn is passionate about designing and sewing clothes and is constantly learning about both vintage and modern technologies. Her inquisitive nature drives her to understand how things work. Marilynn is a graduate of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro.
