Through a generous grant from the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro, TAG is hosting our “Text Me” series combining the written word with visual design. Authors, poets, and playwrights in the community will hold workshops about their vocation with follow-up sessions focusing on printing designs based on these different careers and themes.
Our second session in this series focuses on poetry and the spoken word.
Josephus Thompson III, Greensboro’s first honorary poet laureate, will lead participants in several writing activities with the opportunity to perform a final product. The class is limited to 20 participants and is open to students ages 13-21. Snacks and water will be provided.
