Upcoming Exhibits

2026

March 5 - April 18
Pose/Repose

The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards is excited to announce our newest exhibit, Pose / Repose, featuring the artwork of Michael Ananien, Mary Lee Kerr, and Gadisse Lee. This exhibition brings together figurative works that rely on specific and meticulous posing of the human form to convey meaning and energetic nuance. It explores the expressive potential of the physical body through works in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture. The exhibit considers the dual meaning of repose by examining each artist’s subtle, repeated manipulation of their figures’ postures, as well as by including a range of reclining forms that highlight how meaning shifts when a figure is recumbent.

Out of the Box

TAG is excited to announce a summer long exhibit for the community. Out of the Box is an exploration into the limitless creative possibilities of cardboard as a medium for artmaking. See Greensboro artist John Gibbs create his stunning, representational sculptures during a special artist residency in our Doris P. Deal Gallery. At the same time, immerse yourself in the creative worlds of Durham artist Calvin Brett, who uses cardboard and reclaimed trash to build monumental sculptures and site-specific installations. We invite the entire community to join us in creating cardboard art all summer long, thanks to generous support from the Arts Council of Greater Greensboro! Stay tuned for additional details and programming.
