Tuari Micah Walker was born in Brooklyn, New York. Now, professionally known as “Micah The Artyst,” he is a Multidisciplinary Fine Artist. Reared in Greensboro, North Carolina since 2004, he has been kreating since the tender age of six. His kreative journey began with a number two pencil, line paper and aspirations larger than life. His mother noticed his growing love for the arts and he was enrolled within The African American Atelier. He would remain in the program and eventually embark on the first Murals, Minds and Community summer program taught by Darlene McClinton.
From the moment of experiencing muralism it was confirmed that Tuari’s heart desire was to not only pursue professional artistry as a career, but to kreate conversation pieces for all. Following the Murals, Minds & Community program Tuari worked closely with Darlene during his high school years at New Garden Friends School. Upon his graduation he would go on to attend Guilford College as a Bonner Scholar and continue to work closely with McClinton up until the COVID-19 Pandemic. Following the COVID-19 Pandemic and the strenuous reorganization of society and the collegiate schooling system, Tuari took a gap year. From that moment, Tuari experienced freedom and began to actively pursue his kreative aspirations full time.
Reconnecting with James Raleigh Jr, who would mentor him on the aspects of community and artistry while building a connection with Sabrina Tillman from a 2022 exhibit. Actively pursuing his heart’s desire to be a revolutionary and world renowned kreative.
