In this one-day oil and cold wax workshop, you will be creating a series of small semi-abstracted and/or abstracted floral paintings on Arches Oil Paper. The morning will begin with a discussion of oil and cold wax medium, the tools you use when working with it, and how to work with a limited palette. Addren will share some of the abstract floral artists she admires and give you a short demonstration of how she works. After that you will be free to create your own paintings with Addren’s help as needed. This workshop is about experimentation and learning about color harmony and different limited palettes.

All supplies will be provided for this workshop, and it is appropriate for artists who work in other mediums but would like to give oil and cold wax a try.
