Liz McKinnon

Liz McKinnon is the Triad artist behind Heart Shine Studios, located in the heart of North Carolina. Her primary medium is watercolors but she enjoys exploring other mediums, especially when using eco-friendly practices. Papermaking has become a great practice in recycling the old and creating something new. She enjoys giving private lessons and offering local make and take events, she believes there is joy in watching others explore and discover their artistic side. 


Her personal work is inspired by the whimsy of nature and the stories it provokes. Her gallery is in Vida Pour Tea on State Street in Greensboro. Her art captures the braveness of femininity and the duality of nature in its natural state and its ability to inspire whole new worlds.
