Yolanda Grier is an abstract painter who lives and works in High Point, NC. As a native of Kinston, NC Yolanda learned to appreciate nature walks and the ocean as a place of solace. Her expressive painting style which includes lots of vibrant colors is an outpouring of joy now that she’s on the other side of pain from childhood.
As a self-taught artist, Yolanda experienced and observed the healing power of creativity as a means to healing and being whole. Yolanda opens the conversation of Creative Healing by being open about her own journey of surviving trauma. There is wholeness on the other side.
As a published author of 2 books, Yolanda also weaves the power of words into her creative workshops and classes. She believes it’s all connected.
Yolanda is a graduate of North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University where she received her BS in Business Administration-Marketing.
As an Arts Specialist at The Point College Prep, Yolanda believes strongly in the arts being a permanent part of a child’s education. The integration of arts into core curriculum elevates the child’s learning immensely.
