For over seventy years, Warren Dennis returned again and again to the human figure and everyday life. As a painter, art historian, and professor at Appalachian State, the artist’s paintings, works on paper, and sketchbooks reveal a rigorous practice of iteration: hundreds of studies, notes on color, and revisited subjects that evolve across time. His granddaughter (& TAG curator), Kathryn Drum, will share reflections on the artist’s lifelong practice and inspiration.
