 The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards (TAG) is thrilled to announce the receipt of its largest donation to date, a transformative gift of $500,000 from local businessman and philanthropist, Doug Witcher. This generous contribution is earmarked specifically for advancing educational programming within TAG, enriching the cultural landscape of the community.

Doug Witcher, founder of the Smart Choice® Agents Program, has long been recognized for his commitment to empowering communities and fostering growth opportunities. Since its inception in 1994, Smart Choice has served as a cornerstone for independent agents, facilitating access to premier markets and fostering enduring relationships with top insurance carriers nationwide. Witcher’s dedication extends beyond the boardroom into the realm of arts and education.

“TAG is an invaluable asset to our community, providing a platform for artistic expression and cultural enrichment,” Witcher said. “I am honored to support their mission and contribute to enhancing educational initiatives that will inspire creativity and learning for generations to come.”

The impact of this historic donation will be felt throughout TAG’s educational programming, empowering individuals of all ages and backgrounds to engage with art in meaningful and transformative ways. Through workshops, lectures, and community initiatives, TAG remains committed to fostering creativity, dialogue, and lifelong learning.
