Needle & Thread: Contemporary Textiles at Play

This joyful, engaging exhibition features North Carolina-based fiber artists whose work brings texture, color, and creativity to life through themes of play and wonder. Curated with all ages in mind, Needle & Thread is a vibrant tribute to High Point’s historic textile industry and a celebration of contemporary textiles.

Located within the revitalized Congdon Yards – formerly Plant 7 and The Factory of the historic Adams-Millis Hosiery Mill – TAG stands on ground that played a pivotal role in North Carolina’s textile industry. This legacy provides a fitting backdrop for an exhibition that brings together some of the state’s most dynamic fiber artists.

Drawing inspiration from TAG’s central location in downtown High Point – surrounded by landmarks like the Rockers Stadium, The Commons, and Visit High Point – Needle & Thread explores how artists use playfulness as both a concept and a process. Curated with a sense of wonder and whimsy, the exhibition invites visitors to engage with textiles in unexpected and delightful ways.

Annual Middle School Art Show

This year’s Annual Middle School Art Show is a vibrant celebration of creativity, imagination, and student expression. This dynamic showcase features a wide range of media – including painting, sculpture, mixed media, and ceramics – demonstrating the incredible talent and artistic growth of our young artists.

Featuring work from: Kiser Middle School, Wesleyan Christian Academy, Jamestown Middle School, Wheatmore Middle School, Tri-City Christian Academy, Brown Summit Middle School, Hairston Middle School, Penn Griffin School for the Arts, Western Guilford MS, Northern Guilford MS, Immaculate Heart of Mary, Westchester Country Day School, The Point College Prep, Southwest Guilford MS, Allen Middle School
