The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards (TAG) is hosting two upcoming youth art activity workshops.

Join TAG for a ghoulishly good time as participants create Halloween-themed crafts that are frightfully fun and perfect for kids aged five to 12.  The spooktacular crafts will include making construction paper 3D pumpkins, crayon-resist watercolor leaf painting, painting a plaster pumpkin, making monster sculptures, spiderweb yarn weaving, and X-ray hand drawings.

This workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon. The cost is $15 per child and is limited to 15 participants.

Another hands-on workshop for youth ages nine and up will be held Thursday, Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Participants will learn about the slab technique and will watch a demonstration of how to make a decorative turkey with an opportunity to create an animal of their choice. After pieces have dried and been fired in the kiln, they will return on Wednesday, Nov. 15 to add color to their creations with glaze or paint. The cost is $45 for TAG members and $55 for non-members

Registration is required for both workshops and can be completed online at www.tagart.org/youth-education.  Classes and workshops for all ages are available on our website www.tagart.org/event-directory
