Creativity + Community

Calling all artists! Here’s a great opportunity to showcase your talents! The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards is hosting two free upcoming workshops to help local artists create compelling profiles on GreensboroArtsHub.com, the online portal to the area’s arts scene.

The workshops are Thursday, November 2 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 4 from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards, 400 West English Road, Suite 151, High Point.

Artists are invited to bring devices to the workshops where facilitators will guide participants in crafting profiles, writing interesting bios, and encouraging audience engagement.

Photography will be offered. Artists may bring up to three works and sit for a headshot if they like. Photos will be uploaded to the cloud for artists to retrieve and use for other projects. For artists without devices or little tech know-how, knowledgeable assistants will be on hand to create profiles.

“The workshops aim to make GreensboroArtsHub accessible to all local creators,” Roch Smith, Jr., the Arts Hub creator said.

“TAG is excited to host this opportunity for local artists,” Michaela Hafley, TAG Education Director, said. “Our studio classrooms in the education wing provide ample space for creatives to meet and work.”

Walk-ins are welcomed, but you can reserve a spot at: www.GreensboroArtsHub.com/register. For additional information, email arts@greensboroartshub.com or michaela@tagart.org.

These free workshops are made possible with the support of The Art Gallery at Congdon Yards and Creative Greensboro, Greensboro’s office for arts and culture.
